These days, it's all kind of "yeah, I know it's possible, so where's the challenge?" I think the internet and the resources available make these things so much, not easier necessarily, but at least acheivable with less sweating.
As Evak will know- I get bored when i'm not in a challenge, (but i also get bored when computers dont do what you tell 'em!) I perform better when theres a nice challenge with decent results- New stuff, not things people can do all over the place left right and centre, Like my Driving AI, although people seem to be catching up now and bigger/better AI code is around- My code isnt all that good now!
Interrupt driven bouncy sprites while still typing code in on the BBC was quite spectacular :D
