A good LCD will pee all over a good CRT.
I can certainly vouch for that, just used Photoshop for the first time on this monitor yesterday (havent been artistically active until recently), and my god the display is freaking gorgeous compared to when I used my 15" CRT when colouring the picture...., such a damn clean & vibrant display.....
