Another thing about smoking is the propable addiction; A simple signal to me that its not benificial to us in any way. Causing people to become compelled into buying and using something recreational, is obviously immoral.
Of course it can't just be removed. I've never had too much of a problem with other peoples smoke other than in someones house when they are smoking, where the stuffy air and trapped smell repulse me enough to widen all doors and windows. As long as a public house is ventilated well enough, and large enough, it doesnt 'seem' to affect me (ie im not agitated or annoyed about)...Mind you all a roof fan does is blow the smoke into my eyes, which is rather painfull and uncomfortable.
It will probably cut down on the number of people who do smoke however, and that of course is a good thing.
Hospital patients who smoke (quite often shouldnt be) have to (as well as the staff) leave the hospital to smoke. The hospital here is on the top of a hill...Not all of them will make it back up again...lo...l. Additional stress in particular for the staff and patients. This issue is rather Grey, but im with Alien on this one.
