I'm sure some ppl think that way - I think it's useful tool for testers.
And one can certainly understand how some people might think that way since some high-performance computer companies market their stuff as having so-and-so many 3DMarks.While I can certainly see how nVidia engineers can use it as a tool, most people DO infact use it as a stick for measuring ePenises, and trying to argue to the contrary seems rather ignorant.
And sure it'll be great when games start looking this good. Ofcourse by then there won't be much game left, but I suppose you really can't have your cake and eat it.
