I've seen many people say that Blitz programs are compiled into machine code. Are they really? Or is Blitz more along the lines of programs like Game Maker where it's really a virtual machine and basically compiles its code into byte or p code. I've read that the runtime library is compiled into the executable, hence the large file size. Anyway just curious. If they really are compiled into machine code, I might be replacing GM with Blitz Max sometime soon.
