I have to agree with vinylpusher, PC speakers are the pits. Decent amp and speakers are the way to go. You can pick up something that sounds reasonable for around £150. Granted a set of PC speakers only costs £15 but hey. But of course you'll be wanting a good sound card too, external sound cards give better sound quality as there's much less interferance from the other computer components.
I find it bizarre that people are happy to spend £200 on a vid card and then just use the built in sound from their motherboard.
