Can we all grow up a little here? We all know that FlameDuck can make cutting remarks and is oft misunderstood, just as we all know that Blitz has limitations.
The point that FlameDuck was alluding to is that we know (or should know) Blitz' inherant limitations and its applicability to particular projects.
People will, of course, always want more and will make a show of complaining about a lack of versatility in a particular tool whilst ignoring a lack of versatility in the decision making process that led them to use that particular tool.
This doesn't make them less than optimally clever, it makes them human.
I'd love for Blitz3D to provide many more features than it currently does. I'm a lazy person, I find that Blitz provides a comfortable development environment. Like any area of life, we tend to stay where it is comfortable and we will resist pressure to move to an uncomfortable environment.
There is general complaint about Windows as an OS, but where are most of us comfortable? We could all switch to Linux, Zeta or any number of niche (or not so niche) systems but it would be a shock to our system to make that change.
Let us quit the tit-for-tat arguments. They lead nowhere useful and the thread will end up being information poor.
