I remember applying for a testing job with a games company in Runcorn (I can't even remember their name). I'd been up late the night before, coding no less, and forgotten the golden rule: always research the company in case they ask you about themselves.
I arrived at the interview and guess what they asked me first? Oh yeah. "So, what kind of games do you think we make?" I stammered for a few seconds then had an epiphany. What do 98% of game developers make? Aha! Racing games!
After I left and got home I checked and was astounded my guess was correct but for some other reason, probably my personality, or probably more correct, they were just intent of hiring a cousin of a programmer anyway, I didn't get the job. Good thing too; I hate racing games.
StevieC? You're 12?! 12? Really?...
12? If you keep up the programming you'll be a blitz uber programmer by the time you're 18.
