I just went to my first interview! I have had many jobs, but none really involved a formal interview. They were usually just speaking to an agency rep, or in a group meeting. Well today I went to apply for a technical position in an "elite" computer shop in my home town. Strangely I wasn’t at all nervous, apart from 5 minutes before when I could feel my dinner digesting slowly in my stomach.
The interview was good; they were impressed with my apparent personality, and aptitude to learn new fields. It was quite a strange situation; there were 3 people in the office, all of which had been in the company since its start. They had not hired anyone in such a large position in 5 years.
I feel like I did really well, am feeling quite pumped like I can do anything now! They said that I would have been hired right away if I had a drivers licence. So they were going to look at possibilities with hiring a part time to do those duties (duties that required the ability to drive).
Anyway, so my first interview went quite well and it is a nice feeling.
