JV-ODE Physics Thread 4

Blitz3D Forums/Blitz3D Userlibs/JV-ODE Physics Thread 4

Good Points, and I ended up using just the X,Y,Z, point of collisions to locate the needed collision sparks to great effect. I was overcomplicating the problem and not realizing the CollisionX abilities, thanks ;)

I may seem "thicker" in the head than most of you in fully understanding all the wonders of ODE, but my abilities are stronger in the actual media, models, textures, fx area, and thus doing all aspects of a project when you're not as advanced as others is why I keep pestering for answers. So hopefully you all understand my lack of uber knowledge in all things Blitz3d and ODE coding ;)

I hope to post a WIP by next week to let you see what it is I've been tinkering with, and as my abilities expand in understanding the math and ode callbacks I'll be able to improve on it.

Granted I keep getting refered to the ODE and JV Doc's, but do understand a one line definition using terms a persons not familiar with is like asking someone non-automotive to breakdown and rebuild a transmission or engine with no prior knowledge. Maybe in the future with time permitting, a more fully detailed docs can be generated, and I will contribute all that I've found out in building a car simulation/arcade style project if it helps.

Topknot ;)
