It's a lot clearer. Well worth changing over. Make sure your graphics card has dvi out and the monitor dvi in. Ie... no DB15 to DVI conversion.

Huge difference in quality.

Also never run your LCD at anything but 1280x1024 or it's native resolution otherwise you'll get horrible staircasing.
