What's the best way to disable & enable a geom from being involved in collisions? I've got several objects that I want to introduce into the simulation over time. I'll set the entities to invisible so the inactive objects can't be seen, but I also need to set the bodies as not being collidable. One solution is to only create the collision geometry when I want the object to appear into the simulation. Is another to move the object into different spaces, or is that not possible? I couldn't find any suitable command other than dBodyEnable/Disable which is overridden when another geomertry collides with the disabled geometry.
checking the docs again, can I use dSpaceRemove and dSpaceAdd without 'damaging' my objects? Can I create my objects in ODE_Space, use dSpaceRemove() to keep the objects but remove them from active ODE_Space, and then when needed just call dSpaceAdd() to place them back into the active space?
