Any news on the new site?

The forum is locked. These are the original blitzbasic.com forums, kept so they can still be read. No new topics, replies or edits can be made here. To join in, head over to the Blitz3D+ forums.

"Mark Sibly" posted not so long ago that we may be moving or having a new site, etc.

Any news on this? Will it involve a new Off Topic forum?

Personally, I would like to see a new, separate, Off-Topic section.

I find it against the original spirit of Blitz that a Blitzer can post that it is their birthday, etc and the thread gets deleted.

Considering we were officially told by "Mark Sibly" that there *may* be changes soon to the site, is there a way forward on this?

I'm all in favour of blocking controversial threads (war/religion, etc) - but birthday ones and personal ones relating to Blitzers is a bit overkill.

I'd recommend a resolution to this - in the spirit of Blitz - if anyone actually remembers that.
