I hope you don't mind me advertising stuff I'm working on but I have been working on a gauntlet style arcade game in blitz3d which is shown in this forum thread:

There are still a few issues with it and it is not quite finished but is playable, has about 20 levels. Joystick/Gamepad input only though at the moment (upto 4 players).
