I cannot afford to backup to DVD. It just isn't economical.
Actually, you can now buy DVD burners for under 40 bucks, and DVD-RW rewritable discs for about a dollar each, which you can keep reusing... So they would actually be cheaper than getting a second harddisk for your backup copies.
Not the most practical method perhaps, but prices have gone down tremendously over time for DVD burners & media.
