I currently just backup my development source to a USB pen drive and, well, that's it really. Thought I do work on 2 different PCs almost every day so there's almost always 3 copies of the latest source kicking about.
Unfortunately the USB drive is now getting pretty full so I'm thinking about one of those little external HDs. Dunno if they're resilient enough to be carted around in my bag every day or not though.
