An endless loop would not be a good thing to put in AI :)
The millisecs counter wouldn't really be a stupid rule, it would be to ensure that everything runs happily.
This can easily be handled. Like in my previous suggestion, all AI scripts can have a maximum number of lines of (say) 1100. The engine executes each line (keeping track of the number of lines) and once the engine reaches 1100, the AI's turn is aborted, regardless of where it's at. This puts the responsibility on the AI programmer to make sure that their code is efficient, or else it will suffer. The millisecs counter wouldn't really be a stupid rule, it would be to ensure that everything runs happily.
3.1 Machine Gun (light weapon)
This might get out of hand at the number of elements the engine has to keep track of. Of course, huge numbers for computers is no challange, but large periods of time for the user to have to sit and watch the 'show' could be a challange.I'm not sure we want 'rapid fire' weapons.
...tangent...
Also, I'm concerned that in a 'TAG' game, the 'IT' player may be outgunned. No weapons (or at least very limited weapons) should be allowed in a 'TAG' game.
