I hate OO advocates
Such strong words. I don't hate them, but, I don't understand the fanaticism. Afterall, its only Programming Paradigm, not a religion. As my Procedural programs increased in size and complexity I found myself adopting Object-Based programming techniques to better organized them. But, I also adopted other techniques, paradigms, methodologies or what ever you want to call them, to make my life as a programmer easier.
The concepts of OOP are really not that complicated if one breaks down those fancy words: Abstraction, Polymorphism, Encapsulation, Inheritance, Interfaces, blah, blah. But, those words in themselves suggest complexity.
Some would have to admit the C++ syntax is not the most user-friendly, heck, C isnt for that matter. I think BlitzMax attempts to give OOP a friendly face. IMHO its easier to transition into OOP from a procedural programming if you start with Object-Based techniques.
