Ah, but which is the lie, the social persona or the inner self? (sorry, couldn't resist)


But could it not also be argued that the persona displayed in a social situation is an expression of a single facet derived from a multi-faceted personality and thusly that the persona perceived by others is a portion of the whole truth rather than a manufactured lie? ;)
