For Anything Other than Arcade style games Id say it has to have Multi/online play.
Bottom line is I feel that ppl now have their bar set really high in the AI Demand are of games, so if you do go single player then your single player AI will have to be able to holds its own..
I think people have realised thought that to get a good game you just cant beat Human AI. ie playing online.
Thats just my view though.
