I do not understand why JimBs results do not increase linearly with the number of iterations - one would for sure expect the results (of course scaled by the speed of the language/compiler/machnie) be like the ones using PureBasic.
Extrapolating the results I'd guess at 25000 iterations PureBasic would be as fast as BMax and at 30000 outperforms it.
