The purpose of a "strict" compiler is to enforce rules. Every major language in existence today enforces case sensitivity.
That BlitzMax doesn't, is a real shame.
i really can't understand why you're so bothered about this at all - ok, so the compiler doesn't throw an error if you try to use "blah" instead of "Blah" but it also doesn't matter if you use "blah" instead of "Blah", so what you lose on the swings, you make up on the roundaboutsThat BlitzMax doesn't, is a real shame.
JustAnotherPureBasicEditor(?) handles it the right way imo, as it uses the function/variable/constants definition as the casing, and whenever you use the reference in code it's automatically converted to the same case, word for word as the original def..So whatever casing you use, it reverts to the original's.
that would be an ideal solution really
