I found a bug though. When you go down to the bottom of the test map there are a number of the spidery face hugger type things that go for you. It's actually possible to get completely stuck if they surround you, where you can't fire and can't move in any direction.
If you can't fire you're out of ammo, if you're surrounded by aliens with no ammo you're dead... It just so happens that unlimited health is switched on. Switch unlimited ammo on (or switch unlimited health off) and try and re-create that 'bug'. I have a suggestion for making aiming easier. I tried to aim in a certain direction, and then fire the gun (without walking). For left/right, up/down, this is not a problem, but it is very hard to do this for diagonal directions. For instance if you press up+right, in most cases one of the two buttons will be read separately when you release the keys.
Not a bad idea... Might look into that it sounds pretty straight forward to implement. I did consider the turn left/right forwards backwards, but I think it works well as directional control.Mark T, Sorry... Doing it now. I really wasn't concentrating on the editor at all today.
Mark 1, Doors reclosing sounds like a good idea... currently the way the doors open is by effectively destroying map information so making them close again would be a touch tricky... I like the idea of a bunch of doors closing behind you (or infront of you if you're not fast enough). I'll have a think about how to do it without having to hard code anything.
Code.zip updated with editor changes.
