My post above was just jesting. You didn't have to take it so seriously, which is what you have to do when posting to/reading forums. You should always try to give the person who made the post the benefit of the doubt since you can never really tell what they truly meant.

is as straightforward of a response as it gets. I would believe that most here would agree that it didn't even hint at being cocky or rude. YOUR response was the one that was out of line. (Look in the mirror.)I don't criticize others to hurt them, I just try to point out what's wrong (constructive criticism).
