does windows have a standard database dll that can be accessed through blitz+?
This is exactly the first question I've made myself, when the userlibs DLL was introduced in the Blitz language.
Sadly, I didn't find any DLL for that generic purpose; but you can build a DLL to wrap any ODBC functionality.
There's also a thread which talks about VB6 DLL that are made usable from within Blitz, by using a special tool:
