I don't know exactly what shaw.ca offers, but I assume they have no Ads in your Webspace and maybe they even offer php and mysql that you could learn the sooner or the later, so I'd say: yes, use shaw instead! (the only Problm is when your Mom drops that Provider one day you will lose the Webspace as well)
