How to add string togethor

this works perfectly for me:

a$="none"
b$="not"
c$="never"

msg$=a+" "+b+" "+c

Print "aaa: "+msg

I can't see why it wouldn't work. Copy and paste this into Blitz (use menu/edit/paste) and see whether it works.
