lara croft model problem

i tried the animate command but it doesn't work cause nothing shows unless you put the following:

lara=LoadAnimMesh( "Lara skin.3ds" ) ;anim seq 0
LoadAnimSeq lara,"lara.3ds

but even then when it show the model it still doesn't animate.
